Florence

Sorry I have not blogged in a few days. I have been sick, but feel better now. We stayed in Florence at the Hotel David. Florence was the center of the Renaissance and there was art everywhere. We walked up to the top of a gigantic belltower. It was 414 steps high. We saw the statue of David and it was huge. We also saw the statue of Neptue and the Duomo. The Duomo is a church in the center of Florence. It was very big and beautiful. When we were leaving for the train to Rome, we decided to walk up a giant hill. Once we all got to the top, their was a stupendous view.

Venice and Carnevale

I had the best time in Venice! We went to Murano and bought Murano glass. When we got back to Venice, we got caught in Carnevale in St. Mark's square. There were many flying lions there symbolizing Venice. Carnevale is kind of like Mardi Gras, but normal people put on costumes and other people take their pictures with them. Kids dress up, put on masks, spray silly string, and sprinkle confetti on the ground. There were raptors like in a parade, except they were by themselves. Then when we were all worn out, we got gelato and headed back to our hotel.

Venice Day 1

Helloooo from Venice! I have had a wonderful time today. We have a splendid hotel. It is all green and glassy. We walked around a lot today on the side streets and on the canals. We also ate some great gelato. We went to Saint Mark's square and took a very nice gondola ride. I can not wait for Carnevale with the masks, costumes, silly string, and all of the confetti. I have had a delightful time and I can not wait for more Venice.

London Day 2

I have had a fantastic time in London. My stupendous mom got us front row seats to the Lion King. The costumes were memorable and the actors were hysterical. Then we went to the Yotel. It was a hotel literally inside the airport. The room was 7 sq meters. The next morning we got up and walked over to our terminal. After a few mishaps, we finally got to our terminal with an hour to spare. When we were flying, the crew made an announcement to look outside. It was the Alps! Finally we got off and headed to our hotel. I can not wait till we go back.

England: 1st Day in London

Finally, we made it to London after 18 hours of traveling. I only got 4 hours of sleep. There is a 5 hour time change, so when we got off the plane it was 4:30 am back in Virginia. Once we got to our hotel, we went to the really weird Dali exhibit. He did not like men or women. He only liked himself, melting clocks, and snails. He also made a ton of drawer ladies. It was surreal :-) After that, we went on a stroll around the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, and the London Eye. The hotel we stayed at was right in the middle of everything. Once we got to the end of our stroll, my family hopped on the London Eye with no line at all. Then we headed back and went to sleep. I had a fantastic time.

Florida: Sebring

Next we went to Sebring, Florida. I got to drive a golf cart on the road! We stayed with our grandparents. It was so fun. Now we are leaving to go to Europe.

Disney and Universal


Hi my name is Cade and I have just embarked on a superb trip around the world. For my birthday, I went to Disney World and Universal Studios. In Hollywood Studios, we saw Chip and Dale and watched American Idol “The Experience”. There were some fantastic singers. Next we went to Universal Studios. For sure, my favorite was The Simpsons ride. You got jostled around trying to escape Sideshow Bob in Krustyland. I had the best birthday ever!
